Nancy I appreciated that this was a thorough look at how Geisel evolved in thinking over the years - every bit did virtually humans. He doesn't apologize for his previous work merely does say he learned to do better and made some adjustments to previously published work.

Carolyn In one chapter, the objectionable political cartoons are addressed. In a later chapter dealing with his cartooning pre- and during WWII , the author shows that Geisel matured and recognized his earlier mistakes. During that time he drew political cartoons that were much more sympathetic to people who were dissimilar, including the Japanese-Americans. This attitude was also reflected in Horton Hears a Who. "A person is a person, no affair how small."

Jennifer Robb At that place is a chapter most that time of his life too equally information technology existence mentioned in other parts of the volume. Some of the time information technology is explained as "the worldview at the time", especially for some of his earlier works. For office of WWII he was in the Army Signal Corps and some of the work produced there may take been as a result of orders from higher up in the armed forces chain of command.
